Ok well thats good to know. I get paid next tuesday so ill have plates around that time. The bike is ready to go other than that. This weekend im finishing up repacking the stock cans and putting the straight thru core in. so in the next few weeks im gonna go to test out for my learners. Its good to know that most of you are down to ride. I think supermanguy is the closest to me. But my bike is in manchester at the moment. Ill keep yall posted on my progress....

you're worried about planning rides and you don't even have tags, not even a learners? chances are most any average rider is going to leave you in the dust or put you in a ditch. ride alone, for quite some time, it's your safest smartest bet.
I just got my learners yesterday. Ive been street riding for about 2 years now, and dont ride above my head.

If he gets a learners then he cannot ride by himself either as it's against the law. If your going to run from the cops and confident your going to get away then you should be fine with riding with someone else IMO. Ride with someone else if you can, if you can't be ready to get tickets, bike impounded or run. Also if you ever wanna ride I usually ride in Baltimore city or just a open lot every weekend. Pm me your number "usmctankmech" and Ill send you a text before me and my buddy go out to ride. Also glad to see another member from Ma240sx on here.

Baltimore is some good stuff...

I came up To Baltimore from Virgina Beach this weekend to do a ride that my dad hosts every year. My Harley had some throttle issues, so I brought my plated WR450F(SM) up to ride. It was weird riding a sumo with 21 Harleys, but they are a crazy bunch of burnout ready, wheelie riding Harley guys. (I've seen it myself, my dad's buddy was riding wheelies on his Bagger with his 'Ol Lady on the back. Badass.)
Anyway...You all have it pretty good up there. I had my bike airborne about once a block from the bigass sidewalk ramps on nearly every street downtown. Even better are the ramps on the wide medians. Get some speed from a left turn and ramp up the median and land halfway into the outer lane. That is some good stuff. The Harley guys got a kick out of that all day long. Besides that, there are so many industrial places, hills, staircases, and windy roads with decent pavement. I should bring my sumo up more often. In Virginia Beach, all the sidewalks are round slopes, not good for jumping, medians are blocked, the land is flat as hell, and bad roads. And since there's an over abundance of fat people here, there isn't a single staircase anywhere! I swear, I live in the shittiest place to ride ever.
I hope you all meet up and get some good rides, I envy your turf.

yes yes and yes.... there are plenty of guys around, good luck getting them to ride though. I live in essex, basically just north of glen burnie, and am always down to ride. id like to make a trip to the mountains of northern Va or even into NC before winter hits. its pretty much perfect riding weather lately. I know of 2 guys with DRZ's that live together, and another guy i havent talked to in a while... we are all pretty much down, just a matter of when we can all ride etc. you ride fairly decent?

Ride this weekend?

Yo KeanBean!!
Is your bike operational yet? Anyone up for a Supermoto ride this weekend?

No real plan on where to go or how to get there, but really want to ride with other Tards, as cruisers and sport bikes are boring me!!

Lets make something happen.

Na not yet man had some setbacks with the cam and an annodizer. New one should be here tom. The motor is completely rebuild but the top end just waiting on cam. hubs and fork tubes shipped today from philly finally. Should have them tom or Mon them rims and front suspension go back together. A few small odds and ends but should be done within next 2 weeks. It's killin me to not be riding. There a few other guys around here with sumos that not on smj that down to ride. We gonna have to all meet up when my babys finished.

Technical issues

I hear ya man. My electric start isn't working, there is a short somewhere, and the kill switch isn't shutting the bike off, I have a stainless steel braided front brake line, and I have the tires to replace the worn ones, but all of this means I have to stop riding to do the repairs!! I think I need a spare bike to ride while repairing this one!

Let me know when your ready, or if your friends don't mine me tagging along on their rides on my BRP!

Good luck with your rebuild. Sounds pretty intensive.
