Well, I wanted to change it up and I certainly did!
Ive wanted one since they first came out and now I have a super clean example with 1700 miles and its a 2000.

One problem: power.
This will wont be my normal ride, but I'll take it out every perfectly nice day, and would like to make that day a little bit more exciting...

What do you guys suggest as far as small torquey powerplants with around 25-30hp?
Ive heard really good things about the CRF150R motors, and Im sure its small enough to fit in there.

pics coming soon

Just let me know, a nice high reving 4stroker would be a hoot and I wouldnt have to worry about keeping the oil injection resivour full, but id lose the electric start.

There are a few 70cc-80cc kits out there, with a pipe, carb and some porting I bet I could get somewhere around 15-20horse. Ive priced everything but the porting out and it came to 800bucks, not bad. And how many two stroke streetbikes are left? not many.

A 150 isn't going to make 30hp, but if you got one and dumped all of the go fast parts into it, it would be plenty of fun IMO. I had a KLX 110 with a 138 or so Two Bros big bore kit and it was awesome on the street for something of that size. I know two bros sells 175cc big bores for the CRF150.

A 450 would be incredible! I do still have a YZ400 bottom end as I mentioned...
I just took the lil 50 for a spin, its certainly fun!
It feels like Im riding a toy. Which makes sense as Im only making about 6hp.
A full kit (under 1000) would double it.

A 125 would be even better, but this bike is so clean I dont want to cut it up.

I have an 09 RS125 with a Polini 154cc kit. It will go 100mph. Its not great on fuel, but everyone comes to chat about it. THere hardly any 2 stroke street bikes any more so its really unique. Most people think its an 750 or 1100. It looks like a full size bike. Everyone is shocked when they find out it will go 100MPH.

As far as your 50, get a nice 70 or 80cc kit for it. Have it tuned to the max. Spend some money on carbon fibre do dads. It would be a shame to butcher up that bike, its waaay to nice. If you had a basket case with a blown motor then heck ya.

I just spent a stupid amount on dough on EVERYTHING I need to do 85mph!
This is gonna be fun!

Just remember, these little guys have no cush-drive and small bolts for the chain ring. 150-175cc thumper will be more than fine. The bikes are super light. I swaped out an RS125 USD fork on one of mine. Super stiff. Stock forks are a little flexy for a larger powerplant.

fork swap?!

Can you tell me more about what is involved on the RS125 fork swap?
Some USDs would be hot, and probably give me what the stock ones are lacking.
Do you have a build thread on the AF1 forum? Id like to check yours out.

The bigbore kit, clutch springs, reeds, and exhaust are done. The throttle cable is too long so I need to modifty that and I need to make a trip to the hardware store for a hose connector. It was pretty easy going work.

I still want to put in a150R motor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PICS!
