I had a BMW K1200R, which was big and long and heavy (oh yeah, and fast). Track days were a workout! But I kept watching the supermoto riders having the greatest time out there, so I knew I had to get one. Did I choose wisely?
The black R75/6 is the "date bike" I also got today. The wife helped me choose it (God love 'er). You know, for formal occasions, dinner & a movie, or club rides.
I think the 530 is an excellent choice! Looks like you might wanna trim your fork guards down for some clearance on that front tire though.
Just saw in another thread that they were trimmed, still pretty close tho!
Crazy sick bike, this is what I'm looking to purchase. Where are you from and where did you get your SM ride? Did the dealer outfit the SM package for you? Do you still have the dirt set also? Thanks again for the post, sweet rides!
I'm in Auckland, New Zealand. I got it from AMPS. I bought the bike in July last year and the dealer was giving away the motard setup (wheels, discs, and disc relocation bracket, but not tires) for free. I'm no dirt rider, so I had them prep it as a motard. Yes, I still have the knobbies. I swapped everything over once (takes about an hour) to go for a dirt ride, and came to this conclusion: I am too old and out of shape for a dirtbike with this much power!
The motard wheels went back on when I got home. Well, actually they went back on about three days later when I could move again.
I'm pretty sure they're still giving away the motard kits.
Thanks for the reply. I'm in the States and it will be a cold day in HELL before any of our dealers give away a free tard setup with the purchase of a new bike. I hear about this happening every where but the states, sucks for us. Thanks again for the info.
nice orange stuff. I got one as well but only with dirt wheels... :hmmm:
can you please tell me where can I buy supermoto wheels for this and what should I buy to have a full set, easily replaceable?
thanks!
