you ride 2 stroke bikes ?

if you do you must know that the premix is burned in the process of
the combustion and that it lubricates the piston /crank/bearings.

conclusion..no matter what color the mix had, you,ll never see it got spitten out by the engine..:headshake

but what you will see if a 2smoker spits oil...is gearbox oil .
and this comes due to the fact that the crankseals had been blown out.
this happens if the seals are old and hardened ,or unproper warm-up.

how come ?
the pressure in the crankcase blows the seals out and then ,
by every stroke pressure slips through the damaged seal.

this pressure pushes the gearbox-oil right through the overflow-hole
located on top of the gearbox case.

been there done that :infrandom

is it oil from your silencer running back down and coming out of the joint where the header and silencer connect? do you have a clamp on that joint?

it's black oil, and comes from the end of the silencer, and at the bottom of the silencer can, finding it's way to my swingarm, wheel and rear brake. it doesn't leak at the join to my pipe, got a firm connection there. should i check the gear oil levels to determine if crank seals leak? it spits maybe half ounce for 10+ miles.

I think that may be a little excessive, but still pretty normal. What's your premix ratio? Sounds like a little too much engine oil is getting past the combustion event and out the pipe. Depending upon your premix ratio, you may be able to use less oil and have less mess.

*EDIT* Nevermind... I just saw your first post; 50:1. That's pretty lean already. I might: (1) just try to find another exhaust system that won't aim the drips at the swingarm, (2) somehow re-route the current system, or (3) deal with the mess.

hmm

even if ithe joint is tight where the pipe silencer meet..... if the fiberglass wad is saturated (obvious since you leaned the jet) then it will leak at the edge of the silencer where the can and inlet cap slide together..... re pack that bad boy, and if it still does it, then yeah, you got a seal issue..... 50 to 1 is hardly an excessive oil mixture... i run 32:1 and it does it to me......
if you ride it on the pipe more often, it wont do it as bad....... at least thats my problem anyways

Repack the silencer its as easy as that. My 125 does that when it needs to be repacked. I run 40:1 motal premix. Plus repacking the silencer will quiet the bike down and give you more power. P.S. break cleaner is the easiest way to get the oil off the swing arm.
