Thanks for the reply Zorro and the pics.
I'm gonna keep cutting away until I make it fit and
use your idea with the spacers.

My bike is an 08 with the big handle bar clamp up top.
The middle of the clamp is mostly for appearance.
Do you still run the stock bar clamps on yours?

Thanks again for the reply.

new lightspeed frame guards and cfc case covers

My 2006. Pretty much the same as all the others. 440, fcr 39mm, 3x3, jetted, full yoshi, turkey baster, edge tail light, michelin power ones, stainless brake lines, skateboard wheels, peg sliders, under bar mirrors, other stuff.
Just got my new frame guards and case covers on. Covered the case savers in that fake carbon fiber vinyl stuff then sprayed them with a few coats of high temp clear coat.

Has anyone chopped their FMF Powercore4?

Picked up my first supermoto the other day, been racing motocross for years (250 intermediate)

2009 DRZ400SM, 2600 Miles, $4,000 As seen in pictures.
Congratulations on the bike  and welcome aboard...

Before you go and chop the exhaust, chop those reflectors off
Then the can... then post pics!

Didn't notice any gains or any losses. Just louder. I cut a solid 5-6" off and there isn't much to it, just pipe and packing, ground off the welds for the end piece of internal stainless (the curved piece that goes out the cap) fired up the welder and welded it to the chopped piece. Drilled some holes then threw it all back together and that was it.
