Hello all, so I made the mistake of breaking off a bit of pencil in the cylinder of my 2006 Husaberg 650 (trying to find TDC) while lashing the valves this weekend. Tried for hours with shopvacs, hoses, gripper tool, etc to get it out with no luck. Before I go ahead and rip the head off the engine I thought I would ask here if anyone has any other methods I could try before I commit to opening it up.
Unfortunately its a rather large piece, a little over an inch long and the full diameter of the pencil. I am already getting a parts list together to pull the head and deal with this but I figured I would throw out a "hail-mary" here to see if there is anyway to get this thing sorted before I tear down the engine.
Grease up the end of a twist-tie and 'go fishing' through the spark plug hole. Hopefully the grease will snag the tip and at least drag it to where you can see it.
