Hey guys, recently put in a 20mm jack up kit into the back of the drz-E motard. I have found it gets a bit loose on the front end, bit of a wobble... Would it be wise to do anything with the front forks - drop them or lower them?
Reduced offset triple clamps will help. Also check wheel alignments and fork height to make sure the front end is straight and true. What are you doing when you get the front end behaving like that?
thanks for your reply mate.. it starts to get the wobbles at around 130kmh and tops out at 140. wheel alingment and the front end is all straight for sure, do you think i should try dropping the fork to sit flush with the clamps?
Your front wheel could be out of round or off balance. My DRZ is stable at over 180. Dropping the forks will likely make the problem worse, one of the guys I race with had a similar problem with his husky and it was the front wheel hub that had a problem from memory. We swapped his front wheel over from another husky and the problem was gone.
