your not losing your mind. Bultacos are backwards. it shifts on the right with the kick starter and rear brake on the left. I used to road race a bultaco metralla replica.
Is that an Astro? I at first i thought it was a pursang but its a square barrol which mean it has to a be a later model.
Not mine, but another cool Bultaco. This one lives in my friend's living room and has some flat-track racing lineage. (a little before my time, maybe someone else can chime in)
A bit off topic but does anyone have pictures of vintage bikes with modern suspension and engines and such? Or even modern bikes with an old school look, a bit like CCM's FT 35 and 710, which I think are super trick.
wow. that thing is the most ridiculous piece of moto machinery i have seen in a long time. you are a complete bad ass muthaf... that is one awesome resto/conversion. dude... you wanna come work on my bike?
Damn, I have been trying to suppress the urges for a very long time now... but it's final... this is going to have to happen to my 71 Triumph T25, it's slow as all hell anyway, may as well make it handle well haha... Oh boy...
NICE.my dad had a factory ride w/ Montesa in the 50's- at that time Snr.Bulto was Montesa's head of Engineering development.(I've got original letters from Bulto regarding my dad's race bike.)Bulto went on to found Bultaco.I,ll never forget being on the track(motocross-practice)on my 125Penton and being passed overhead by an open class guy on a 360Pursang-I was flat out and he went by like I was standing still.RogerDecoster could beat us all on a step-thru 90.
could a good rider take you on it on a sm course? it's a sm bike.
this is like when people would post up gorgeous bikes they use for sm and all people could talk about was that it didn't have 17's, or that the fender was too big. :infrandom
