    Default Handy Gearing/speed Calculator

    Hi

I have attached a gearing calculator thing to this post.

I put this in the honda forum too but as many people have gearing questions i thought it might be a nice thing to put up here for all to see or use if they want.

its an excel sheet. you type in gear ratios, sprocket sizes, wheel sizes and rev limit etc from your manual. it then calculates speed in each gear and at what revs it would be doing that speed.. also calculates top speed for every gear.

    seems pretty accurate to me..

    try it if you like
    later

I just used the gear commander one. It kinda makes no sense. They said that i have a top speed of 64 with my KX450. all other specs say I will do like 85. Im so confused
