Default Higher pegs for a XR100

Anyone know of a after market source for pegs for a XR100? Anyone custom make any that they would show a pic of. I need some design ideas. I've ground the pegs to the point that they are not even a loop on the end ...just two spikes. I need something higher.

This is the only aftermarket kit that I have seen. It is for flattrackers and the pegs have rubber covers! I don't know if they are higher. I'm sure that Banke Performance could custom make you some!

    um, bigger wheels might help.

But then again, I would drag my pegs on my 100 when I had 17's on it too.

Would attaching some "spacers" to the end of the pegs be an option? For one of the tracks up here we have to put plastic "sliders" on the foot pegs so we are less apt to mar up the track when dragging them. I think all we used was a chunk of Delrin and wedged it into the end of the peg. It may not work for you, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

They are 12" Excel wheels. I'm convinced 12" is the way to go. Actually I was not scrapping when I was riding it road race style just hanging off and leaning. I completly switched to foot out, ass up on the high saide of the seat and push the bike down under you. I busted my ass regularly with the 16" that I had and was going way slower than now. These Bridgestone 601 seriously stick. I was told they were developed for the YSR racing...before the mini boom I suppose. I could have gone 17" at twice the price but when you have 6ish hp I figured I didn't want the mass. The SEMRA champion is the one who talked me into it. He ran this same tire wheel on a RM80.

Thanks for the comments on the pegs. The trial and error of fabing them is unapealing right now, I was hoping to buy something...."I wanta ride"

That was actually a consideration but this last time out I started to slightly touch the peg monut so I need something higher. I'm surprised we haven't been talked to about scraping up the track and I sure don't want to damage the track any more.

Adapt some NSR rear sets to it. That would be badass. I'm gonna do it to mine soon. G-craft makes the complete rear set kit.

You are ill but only slightly sicker than me. What is your genral take on riding the 125 4 strke vs your 2 stroke 80s. I'm tired of getting smoked on the straights.

I can't really say because I started on the 2 stroke....I won't really ride a four until next season... I rode the TTR once for practice so the hubby could some time in on the YZ for an endurance race we had. I did pretty good on it, but not enough to make a true assessment. I'm still new at this so I suck on everything I ride!!! I can take a REALLY fast bike and make it REALLY slow!!!

Post a close up pic of the pegs, stock CRF/XR50 pegs may fit and they are short but still sized for adult feet. That may be an option.

Why don't you just build a set of 17's?

    or

Honda XR foot pegs are only about $10 each, just replace them.

I use the Fastways! They stick out a little but they have a bolt that can be shimmed out to tilt the peg. They weren't cheap though, $100!

I have never seen any peg brackets on Engines Only Site!
They don't list anything to do with pegs!

    Default Pegs and Fender

Here's a close up of the peg remains.

Here's a pic of what a XR70 fender looks like on the XR100. I think it is MUCH more proportional to the bike especially with 12" wheels...sweet

Hey Campbell, Are those the same ones made by Banke Performance?

Hey Steve, Watch out for your Ginsu pegs! They look like blades ready to dice up anyone who tries to pass you! Maybe you could just weld on a plate on the ends and have custom shortys!

Looks like that is the route we are going. My partner is cutting, torching, welding, grinding...glueing or something to them. He says he can make it work better and will have both bikes done by Friday. Racing this weekend at Starke FL track. www.gorally.com/bikefest check the whole site for cool rally school as well www.gorally.com

On the Xr100, they are Bridgestone 601s. I was told they were made for YSRs...I know I love them.

My wife is going to take her second time at riding it on the track this Saturday then I'm racing at a different track Sunday. 70 degrees and sunny is the forecast....dam this is going to be a good weekend for the Hunt family.

Have you checked with this guy?

    http://www.tcexhausts.com/7155.html

He has some sort of rear-sets he makes for the XR100. You can barely make them out in the picture of his bike.

    Default Foot pegs

I made the fork brace you are running. Email me so I know how high you want to go. I am also going to be making smaller fork braces so they wont look so tall with the smaller tires. I need a picture of the front of your bike showing the fork brace with a ruler if you can send it to me please. I will even trade yours out for a better one if you are interested. Email me through me web site rswracing . com.

Hey Ron! I love the brace! Great job. Have you been getting a lot of orders for xr100's. Everybody at my supermoto races ask me about it. I put your sticker on my race stand and point to it everytime someone asks. Thanks again!

    Yep,

That is the triple and fork brace I have. Quality stuff in my opinion. Tolerances were spot on. I polished mine up a bit. I also thought eh price was very good for the quality.

Bumping this super old thread as it has some relevant information to my question.

Specifically, has anyone tried the 360 deg rotating peg / peg extenders. Like these

I did not see any specifically for the 100 but surely there are some that will fit ok.
