Okay MIMRA is gonna host a "MIMRA MINI MASH" !

$5 gate fee for everyone for insurance purposes!

    LOADS of PRACTICE.

    Wheelie comp.......

    Slide/drift comp.......

Its gonna be a great event for people to come and play on toys with a BUNCH of fun people of all ages and bikes! Don't miss the camping adventure as well...... always worth a road trip.

There could be anything from a fully modified vintage Mini flat tracker to a full blown 2010 Big Bling minitard to all the standard low budget MiniGP/tards most of us rip on, oh and some bigger 450cc machines...

04 KX65, clip-ons, rear sets, stock suspension modified for a 200lb rider, finally rebuilt the motor last winter, a few other minor mods.......... races like a champ!

Knee puckz are made from UHMW they have lasted 4 seasons.........

I really like my 84 CR60 better than the KX65......... you can buy them for less than $200 these days and if you know how you can tweak the suspension with very minimal expenditure!!! My buddy has one that has less than $300 into it total!!! uber freeking fast air cooled 2S krazyness.

yeap i have a CR60........ super budget.......... super fast.......

everything evolves......... Mini racing/building is no different.

economic times have given us a BUNCH of older 2S bikes for CHEAP!

Good for some of us bad for others.....

You gonna pimp it down at the MASH I bet there is gonna be at least 10 80's 2S miniz Might have to have a vintage class or two just because we can do what we like

    New news:

the "MIMRA MINI MASH" will have a special class just for "65cc air or liquid cooled unlimited mods other than displacement" and smaller 2S machines.

Why? Because one of our locals here racing Jason (goes by slide1in here on SMJ) has been building and selling just such bikes to our local racer base! Looks like we should be fielding more than enough to have a "special" class

Yeeeeeeees its gonna be crazy out there with a squadron of 2S madness happening, G&J is the puuuuuurfect place to have some serious fun.

I been talking with some other peeps and it looks like its just gonna be off the hook for MIMRA in this "special" class. 4S racers Don't freekout all the other things we do will still be there, we/I are/am not bumping anyone's race/ride time. Part of the multi wave starts etc...

Oh and these bikes at Palmyra is an experience in its own right

I really must thank Shawn ala Stick-boy from Cheeze land for hooking me up with #00CR60.

Back to the 2010 "MIMRA MINI MASH" info.

Today I confirmed the situation of peg, axle, and handle bar sliders with Gary Gregg. It is his requirement and has been since at least 2005.

IF you need them search and find a solution.... An option is that I make a limited number of these items and sell them to my local racers. Some of them are fairly generic, that means they are not "chromosapian/chromosexual/superblingdaddy" in nature. They work and are not expensive per say.

If you plan on attending please make the provisions NOW not at the gate May 30th! You will not be allowed to ride or race if you do not meet the track owners requirements!

This rule is enforced to protect the track surface. I have walked the track multiple times and will a test that there are very few defects from metal scrapping the surface due to Motorcycles sliding/crashing.

    Thanks E H Donahey.

here is a photo of universal sliders that can fit most minigp bikes.

photo shows an adjuster block that is 1.33" wide fits KLX110/KX65, most crf50 based clones.

or simply drill and tap your own holes etc... drill the mount hole to axle diameter and acquire longer axle for sliders under head/nut.

I usually have a couple of extra sets laying around that I sell to my local racers etc...

I will bring a very LIMITED amount of them with me to G&J May 30th for sale to those that just didn't understand "no riding unless your bike has this type of protection".

    Dude thanks for the support!

We are hoping for a good sized turnout, tried planning this way in advance so other clubs would have the option to leave that weekend open......

Ya just never know though with it being a three day weekend people may have other obligations

Layout 1B for the expert/novice and 1C for begginer (the last little left hand kink or bus stop is very technical). We may use the cut through after the first turn, due to better flow etc...

We will decide on a layout for the endurance at the track.

Thanks for the offer of assistance!

    Cheers!

I can't speak for Teddy but I'm betting it will not be a problem, his son does them with us. His daughter rides too and is pretty fast.

Teddy is all about getting the kids started and all his events are kid friendly. My son has only rode a few time and I have let him on the track with us but I do put a fluorescent safety vest on him just so people see him early.

Kid friendly for sure. Yeap the enduranc will have alllevels of racers, usually we have a maximum of 20 teams. that keeps things spread out. Its about laying down wicked lap after lap. No horse paly allowed! Smooth and consistent.

I was just saying that for those that have little experience the optional layout is advised for sprints, that bus stop is brutal........ We wanna keep incidences at a minimum.

Practice time sort of decides how "MIMRA" will place unknown riders in races.

Here is a pic from last summer at "the roller derby track" (palmyra speedway) 4 turns of manic turn management

Josh, Me, Ashliegh, denise on the fence.
Man Its gonna be a FUN summer of Mini racing!

get me the lengths from the bottom of the head to the end....... You can also go to your local dealership and measure front/rear axles on new bikes etc... find one that is 1"-1.5" longer and the sliders can fit over the axle.

Does the swing arm use the lolly-pop style adjusters?

    I have 2 7.875" 12mm axles.......

Its gonna be the baddest Mini-mofo throwdown in the midwest!

Best thing is there are ZERO home track racers at G&Jkartway! So only a few people have been there, and that has been limited or in years past......... no regulars to have to battle, everyone is new to this track for the most part.
