    Default Conti SM Tire Deal

    We have posted some deals on the Conti SM Tire deal when you order the 160 rear. Check it out here: http://www.twowheelsteals.com/ . This is the best deal we've ever run on a Conti tire, our top selling tire, and is offered on the 160 rear size only, or as a package of front and 160 rear. Ie. it's not offered on the 150 tire size- because we are a little overstocked on the 160. Limited to supplies on hand, so eat 'em up!

    can you order these through motostrano and get the same deal? I was planning on tomorrow or friday entering an order for just about everything to convert my WR, and I'd like to do a one stop deal.

    yes. When you do just type in you want the clearance price for the tires, however, note you can't get that price and the free shipping promo deal at the same time, which is why they are over on that site only.

    are these better than the pirelli diablos package at cycle gear for $189?? Or how about the Dunlop BT-016's? I ride all street but want a comparible tire to what came on my 690 SMC, must be grippy, as I had crashing?? How are those AVON distanzias everybody is talking about??

    If you're putting these on your 690, you may not want an H rated tire. Not sure how they perform on a 690. We tend to recommend these tires for lighter supermotos under 600cc due to their H rating. And- you really want to compare any tire to a bike with similar weight and power. If you ask some one how this conti works on their 250 and you're riding a 650 it's really not an level comparison.

    I have these tires on my 690 SMC. I figured the 690 is close in weight to a DR-Z, and I'll never get close to the 130mph that they are rated for.

    I had a set of distanzia's before these. At first I didn't like the Conti's. First impression was that they were a lot stiffer in comparison to the Avons. Now I'm used to it. I was getting a lot of chatter with the front wheel. I started at 26 psi both ends. The chatter got better as I increased the pressure in the front. Right now I have 29F and 26R and the chatter is almost non-existent.

    The grip level is awesome. The tires get used all the way to the edges both front and rear, and I have more confidence in them than the Avon's. Which says a lot since I thought the Avon's were awesome.

    I really liked the Avon's though and I will continue to use them for the winter and off-road stuff.

    You can't go wrong with either. IMHO.

    they usually charge for shipping for items from the twowheelsteals site.

    motorcycle-superstore.com and cyclegear.com have them for less with free shipping, and they aren't even running a sale. just everyday pricing.

    correct. stuff on that site is typically sold at or below cost, so the freeshipping promos is no bueno.

    we did just put up a similar deal for Avon Distanzias and they are now online too. I compared prices with ours and the other turds referenced and we are cheaper.

    Is there no policy in place to prevent vendors here from providing misleading information to customers? These examples are for products shipped to my zip in so-cal.

    motorcycle-superstore = $218 SHIPPED for 120/160 or 120/150 conti set
    cycle gear = $244 SHIPPED for 120/160 or 120/150
    motostrano = $264+tax (free shipping?) for120/160 or 120/150
    twowheelsteals = $247 shipped for 120/150
