Default Flat track "moto porn"

Flat track racing has to be my all time favorite type of motorcycle racing to me it's "poetry in motion"

I saw this bike on Superbike planet http://www.superbikeplanet.com/image/archive/jkrotax09/

Thought id share with you fellow gearheads. I about jizzed my pants when I started to really notice all the details & unobtanium parts on the bike

Flat Track is awesome. I wish it existed somewhere remotely close to me. I've only got to see it at Daytona on the short track, and last year at the Indy Mile. I'd love to give it a shot on a smaller bike.

Someday I want to build a "street tracker" for fun, but there's no room in the budget for unobtanium

Yeah, I have that issue in the bathroom right now

I only really thought of Roland Sands when it came to flat track looking street bikes before, but I see alot of people online doing them with old XS650's and stuff.

I really liked how the article did it with an old Hardley.

I really would like to do a street tracker project, but I'm not sure yet what I'd base it on. I'm really liking the idea of doing it to a Ducati Monster and have it resemble Pegram's flat track bike.

Those guys build a mean bike!! check this out, pricey but whoaa is it cool... Checkout the specs of this one.

NYC-Special

This is a Buell motor with low miles mounted in a Mule frame. It has Mule triple clamps and Ducati 916 front forks, Kosman/Brembo front brake, Brembo rear with a Penske mono-shock. The fuel tank is 3” longer than a standard XR750 tank which provides a bit of extra fuel capacity. This is the black tank. The orange tank goes with another project and I just set the tank on the bike to see what it would look like. It’s not included. I liked the black better.

The bike has Sundance Magnesium wheels which are extremely expensive and no longer available. There is a Forcewinder Intake on the stock Buell carb and I’ve cut and re-welded it so as not to interfere with the front cylinder breather line. The oil/breather lines have all been done up in a black braided material. The pipes although not shown completed are now a 2-1 with a nice aluminum can. They are currently out being ceramic coated a dark “Kal-Gard” type gray.

The bike is nearing completion and will be available for delivery very soon as of 6-15-09. The price with title, ready to ride will be $26K. It’s being sold because the customer has fallen on hard times since the project started. If you like what you see, but would rather have different paint, wire wheels, exhaust or whatever, just about anything can be done to accommodate your personal tastes.

The coolest thing about mule is that its one guy in a two car garage behind his house. he does all the stuff from start to finish, except paint and coating of course.

Those Rotax powered bikes are really cool. A few years back I saw Joe Kopp ride one at a local race at a now defunct 5/8 mi. horse track, very impressive.
