P.S. At lunch I went out and did a quick 50 miles. It was a little chilly so make sure you bring some warm clothing.
The roads look good except one of them is closed due to paving at an intersection. The pavement is down, so I'm hoping that no one will be working tomorrow morning when we come through (about 2pm) and we can just ride across or around the 75' section. Worst case we'll have to go around. Sucks though since the piece we'd miss is a nice 1-2 mile stretch with some nice turns. My fingers are crossed!

P.S. I have two extra pairs of knee protection and 2-3 pairs of elbow pads if anyone wants them. I also have a spare back protector. Call or txt me tonight if you need to use them.

I'm a little bummed in that I guess I gotta go with my full face helmet tomorrow.
Basic warmth factor.
I've gotten so used to using the MX and goggles.....I hate to "go back".
(it's a minor thing....but still....)

Wear one of those neck warmer ninja mask things. That's what I do. I wear my MX helmet all year.

This is going to be an epic ride and I would hate to leave one behind because of an unknown traffic delay or late wake up call! No worries, bring layers, it will be a little cold in the am, but it is expected to be Sunny as hell and up to 54-56 degrees throughout the day.
Neighbor never called me back And I haven't heard from Lilishit

Just woke up. I hear dodge moving around upstairs. Bikes are loaded and ready to go. It's colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra out there!

Banning,You are the man!! Great ride, safe but very quick pace! There was every type of road possible. Gravel, smooth fast roads, tight paved roads that were as wide a most driveways, roads that had some sections with so many whoops that my front wheel was in in the air more than on the ground! To those who aired out the covered bridge entrys, they were insane. And kudo's to all the riders for a safe ride. NO ONE tried riding over their heads and it showed. And definitely thanks to RiderX for the trail rides on his farm after the ride. Awesome hills, creek crossings and that tabletop was cool!! Thanks for the hospitality as well!

Thanks a lot guys. I'm glad to hear everyone had a good time, I had a blast as well.
We had 14 riders in the group. There were no accidents, no one got lost, and although we came close there were no run-ins with the law. I'm pretty sure total mileage was between 190-200 miles and I can't believe I only had to look at my map once.
We did cut out one gravel road section and some nice roads on 842/82 that go around The Whip Tavern, but we were behind schedule and had to do it or else we wouldn't have been able to run the offroad section at Riderx's farm. It's a shame since that would have been the longest gravel road section we had all day, and the pavement section has a bunch of nice fast sweepers that run though a really nice valley. Oh well, we'll do it next time. Maybe we can have a Spring or summer 2010 Bronson Rally? I know a bunch more roads that we can run. Just as good as these.
14 motards on those roads, all WFO, are loud as hell!! When Orangeshirtdude, dodge131 and I stayed back at that last gas stop you should have heard what it sounded like. Seriously, we could hear you guys two miles away. It sounded like there was a race going on!
How about Curt on his SV650? Is that guy nuts or what???
Thanks again to Riderx for setting up the offroad playground for us. The tabletop was a lot of fun. So was the impromptu harescrambles race
We can do it again for sure!. If anyone wants to come up and ride, just let us know. We ride just about every weekend.
-Banning.

Yeah, the roars we heard echoing through the valley while we stayed back and got dodge's bike to turn over cannot be blamed entirely on Wholigan?! It was a roaring chorus of singles. Anyone in the area outside working in their yards were probably like, " WTF?!!!"
Definitely sign me up for the spring rally. Thanks for putting together a great ride, Banning. RiderX, thanks for the drinks at your place and for letting us tear the place up. The day's shenanigans were definitely worth the trip up.

Tight and narrow backroads!
Fast sweepers and hilly state park roads!
Wheelies, jumps and stoppies!
Covered bridges, table top bridges and tunnels!
Gravel roads, muddy hills and stream crossings!
FUN!!!
Here's the only picture I took all day, right after our first gravel road section. I like the "No Winter Maintenance" signs.

No worries I was being a little sarcastic in my reply still want to hit you up on a ride. Thank you and today was the first day in a week I even felt good enough to ride, I think the little kids around here liked the braaap brapp and lofting the wheel a bit more than I do. About cooked my balls off waiting for the damn motorcade to pass by so I could get dinner. Sundays seem to be good to do urban hooliganism leo's seem to be minimal and the bike loves cool air.

Yup I hit the gravel while trying to do a uturn. I have zero dirt miles really. The gravel really freaks me out with this bike. If I was on the Duke II I would have felt more comfortable. I need to rebuild it soon. Here are the links to my 2 short vid's.

HAHA.........Those jumps were awesome!!!! I thought i had only put helium in the front tire Must have put it in both tires I wish we could have caught the driveway entrance on video, it felt like the DRZ was 3-4 foot off the ground!....That is my FAVORITE driveway ever. Can't wait to do it again..

I did'nt lay her over in the dirt, but I did run off the road into a yard without dropping it trying to chase the Aprilia WAY TOO HOT into a sharp right hander! Tony said he got it all on tape. I think somebody had a low speed lowside in the grass after running off the road. Nobody got hurt...............that's the good stuff!
