Im currently mounting extra fuel tanks from Rally-Raid. But i dont know the proper way place to put the fuel lines from the stock tank to the new tanks.
Is it possible to run the fuel lines near (or even touching?) the cylinder or the head? Or will the cylinder/head be to hot and melt the tubing?

Would appreciate any help since im planing to finish the routing of the tubing tomorrow and take the bike our for a spin during the weekend :hmmm:

The head and radiator and coolant water should all be roughly the same temperature... Less than 100 degrees C.. You'd think..

They use rubber hoses for the coolant lines and for the emissions crap on the top of the head so it shouldn't be a problem..

You possibly might run into vapor problems?? See how you go.. I wouldn't worry about it melting though..

Obviously if you can run it so it doesn't touch, that would be better :)

The outside of the engine is less than 100 C, remember the temperature shown is the temperature of the cooling fluid around the cylinder, so it goes much lower.

The rubber doesnt conduct heat very well, and that small amount of heat that reaches the fuel, will just dissipate, so in short there is no problem if it touches the engine.

The SM/Duke stock fuel line touches the engine, and there are no issues
